10% on renewals only

I just called Amb Club tonight. You only get 10% renewal when you pay (not use points) to RENEW (not on 1st year) of membership.
The 10% rebate will be on all IHG properties.

To be more precise - you only get the 10% rebate if you renew using the specific option to pay $200 for the renewal instead of $150. So if you choose this option you will pay $50 more, but you will receive 5,000 additional points (15,000 instead of 10,000) plus the 10% rebate on all reward stay bookings.

For me this option is a no-brainer, even though I have to chase IHG for the rebate each and every time.

I went for that option, but instead of 15000 points I've just received the pack with a voucher for 5000 points.

Did you get a voucher for 15k or just 5k with another 10k posted automatically to your account?

Thanks

I had a Reward Night 4 night stay more than 6 weeks ago, at 50k per night.

Sad to say that for the first time ever my rebate Points haven't posted so looks like I'll have to chase to get the 20k rebate

I renewed end of September for $200. If I remember correctly, this should give me 15000 points. The included voucher was also only over 5000 points.

How did it end in your case? I've just sent the ambassador service center a message. Let's see what they say.

Followup: The 5000/15000 point issue seems to be known to the Ambassador service desk. They asked for my 5000 point voucher code, then deposited it to my account and also deposited another 10000 on top.
