Exactly why not! considering how much they charge for a club room surely they can stretch to a half decent bottle of champagne, Bottega is ok but it seems a bit cheap when you are probably paying $700+ per night.

I enjoyed the Tom Collins using Monkey 47 Gin which is a premium Gin from Germany (yes, Gin from Germany and it's quite good). For the sparkling wine, I recall two choices back last year and they were "okay", but nothing earth shattering, hence my switch to the Gin.

We had dinner at the lounge pretty much every evening after happy hour finished. Ordered at 8:15pm, food came about 20mins later IIRC. Pretty good quality food as the lounge snack selection in the evening wasn't so much our thing.

In that price range I would prefer a French Crement, an Italien Prosecco or a German Sekt without any hesitation. Champagne prices are brand driven and the market takes profit from the people buying it because it says Champagne

Isn’t that beyond the point? When paying a 200 usd supplement for club lots of guests would want a glass of champagne to be included. It is far from unreasonable to expect that a plain big brand champagne would be included for this price point.

Of course champagne itself is most likely the type of sparking wine where it is the hardest to get value for price on the lower end of the spectrum.

30 EUR for a big brand champagne which makes (almost) any guest happy.

If Bangkok can offer 3 types of sparkling with what they charge and the high tax in Thailand I think Danang should be able to offer more than just 1 Prosecco for the rate they charge.

Whilst I generally prefer something drier than Prosecco, an awful lot of people do prefer Prosecco, so maybe it is in part a response to demand that also keeps cost down?

Hi All,
Our family will be staying for 2 nights at the IC Danang i July using points and a free night cert. We are IHG Platinum members (Chase credit cards). Does the hotel provide complimentary water bottles? If not, how much does the hotel charge for them? Thanks.

(I will no longer use IC HCMC as they count base->delux->club (ie delux with lounge access) as a 2cat RA upgrade)

o Pretty sure I get given 20% off as RA or Club access guest anyway at checkin to encourage my spend, though could have been a seasonal non-peak month offer.
o Though not guaranteed in anyway, on paid stay as RA, IC Da Nang do upgrade my entry level room to Peninsula Suite if not sold out , always lucky to date.

o hmmmm if a strict 2cat remember suite pricing cats in order are
King Classic Terrace Suite Ocean View ->
King Son Tra Terrace Suite Ocean View ->
King Club Terrace Suite Ocean View ->
Bedroom Spa Lagoon Villa ->
1bedroom Club Peninsula Suite Ocean View <== my preferred room type, though one level up from beach, 2below main-reception/restaurant+lounge

Da Nang excluded upgrade list is ......
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort: Penthouse, Beach Villa, Rock Villa, 2 bed Rock Villa, Sun Peninsula Residence 2 bed, Sun Peninsula Residence 3 bed and Royal Residence.
Hi all, is this the single cat upgrade path? i.e. from King Club Terrace Suite to One Bedroom Lagoon as a Spire Ambassador?

Thanks.

Had anyone stayed in the Spa Lagoon Villas? How is this category?

Is a Club Peninsula Suite a “higher” category re upgrade path than spa lagoon, as noted above?

Although I am aware there is no entitlement to a rock/beach villa upgrade, being booked one category below these could not hurt, if for some reason the hotel did decide to upgrade.
