I've stayed there before. It's not too bad, seem to recall getting a great price. If you're looking for glamour, it's not there. But for being on the boardwalk, it's not bad at all.

It's on the boardwalk, in a relatively safe area. The closer to the ocean, the more patrolled and secure. It's to the right of the Convention Center when you come off the AC expressway, about 3/4 mile from Trump's casino and about 1/2 mile from Hilton casino in other direction, walking again, down the boardwalk. It's right next door to the Tropicana, so you have a nice selection of places to support Atlantic City's schools (thats where the gambling revenues were supposed to go....)
By the way, that in itself is a major activity - walking the boardwalk. Or you can rent bicycles. A big weekend morning activity. Free parking, ask for an upper floor.
