2012 Pointbreak Discussion Thread
Fellow flyertalkers,
discuss and guess when we will see pointbreaks in 2012.
The old thead was a bit too big covering nearly three year and close to 5000 posts and so it is time for a new thread.
Our goal was to keep this thread helpful and informative. Therefore I ask you to post in this thread only question related to point breaks such as (but not limited to):
Rumors, if the Point breaks are discontinued should only be posted, if you have a source for it and can name it (e.g. someone mentioned it in a hotel and you trust this source, etc.).
All other discussions are not very helpful for person, who are new to this forum and do not know how to understand this discussion. I therefore aks you to post this kind of discussion in our Lounge Thread . I will move all non-topic discussions to this thread, so they are still available, but keep this thread a bit more useful.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and sorry for being the fun stopper - but such is life as a moderator.

Well a friendly reminder, that this thread is about Pointbreaks. That means you should post
Rumors, if the Point breaks are discontinued should only be posted, if you have a source for it and can name it (e.g. someone mentioned it in a hotel and you trust this source, etc.).

I will move (and already have) all non-topic discussions to this thread, so they are still available, but keep this thread a bit more useful. Quoted are still accessible, as the forum software tracks them back to the original place, if the quoted post was not moved.
The most previous post (inlcuding one of me ) could be found in the above mentioned Lounge Thread.

The above post would have been post 5000.
Don't you mean posts.
According to my trusted source[1] PB will be continuing this year. It will be better than ever.
[1] My gut. At some IHG hotel in 2011.
This thread is simply to big with close to 5000 points and will be closed.

The regional pages are still there with active PB hotels for January. It is just the landing page that is missing.
e.g. Pointsbreaks for Europe:

No one wants to go to the IC Almaty?
This is really sad. I can understand people don't want to travel to Almaty in subzero weather but why are all three ICs in summer South America still on the list?
