Well sadly this is the first quarter I will miss my get X stay Y due to a cancelled trip. Oh well.

even though I haven't registered for anything else, I got email today (code 3415) and tried to register but says invalid code. Perhaps email is ahead of IT

It seems that they have tweaked their Stay X promos - now there's an incentive to stay more, once you've reached the original goal. Clever thinking, I'd say. I, for one, usually underestimate my quarterly stays and register for a lower target. Like in Q4, I registered for stay 7 - I passed the 7 nights mark by early November and will have some 10 more nights by the end of Dec. Would have appreciated the "overshot" bonus.
And now there's a stay 2 get x version, too! ^

Answer to your 2nd ?? is probably YES. I registered for 5521 just fine yesterday, but now I get, "Your code is invalid," when trying STAY 10 GET 15K.

This implies to me that in case someone doesn't have elite status, the first 5 nights will work but the next 5 nights might not work.

Mine is identical to yours. I edited its wording in my post to match the format of above posters to improve readability, and overlooked the elite aspect in the process. Sorry for any confusion. I very much doubt the perennially obtuse PC system will be able to make that distinction...

FWIW the Stay 5 Get 10,000 is the "best" so far and the lower ones (2 for 2,500 for example) lack the word every (2 more nights get 2,500 more points instead of EVERY 2 more nights gets 2,500 more points).

Why bother? They enjoy the free publicity via FT, the blogs etc. And the points don't even count for status now.
