664K. Used 205K this year. Earned 405K this year over 78 nights.
Will eventually use them for an all inclusive holiday somewhere warm.

If you use the miles wisely you can get PB nights where your points give you 2-5 cpp. 10 times the value of the high street or other retail certs.

I've earned a quarter million points this year without the useless, for me, CtC. But I spend them rapidly on family vacations and mini-bar raids*, uh I mean stays, at Euro IC's. Got another one coming up very soon.
*for the humor-impaired, that was a joke. Sort of.

48k, which is about right for this time of year for me! Only earned about 120k this year as I wanted to maintain status on a few other chains as well. All points purely from hotel stays, no credit card bonuses (I have cards with other chains).
I rarely get above 200k, usually when around 150k I use 40-60k to stay somewhere for a long weekend and explore somewhere new or take my wife out for a nice weekend away to help make up for all the time she sits at home alone!
I wouldn't ever want to have 500k or more sitting around, as others have said...points devalue with time so you gain no benefit and the chain loves you for it...
I had a friend that was a contractor staying in a Holiday Inn for 17 months in a row...I think he managed a million+ points for that stint...but he did the right thing and took his extended family on vacation for two weeks somewhere nice shortly thereafter...
Life is short, enjoy it! Failing that you can use them yourself, find someone you know in your circle of friends and family and book them a brilliant once in a lifetime hotel stay...(or several single nights when family can use it as a gift...)

About 178K. But, burned 240K on a great trip to Germany for myself and my wife in May and around 125K for my son spending time down under in January 2012. So, some nice value out of my PC points this year.

When I went over a million points it sounded cool but then I realized it's a bit silly. Now I mainain at least 300K in the bank so I always have enough for a week in an IC flagship but otherwise I use it for free nights, or for the prepaid card awards.

170,714, although I am currently staying in an IC so the points have yet to post :-). I've earned 221,972 this year (again not including my current stay) and have redeemed 275,000

I'm down to about 300k but have burned around 300k this year mostly on IC stays and a few days for my parents coming to town for Thanksgiving week. I try to keep at least a week of IC nights in the bank.
