Most important points to consider for a valid BRG:
1. The comparison website MUST bill in the same currency as the hotel .
2. The cancellation terms must be equal or better, than the terms by the hotels.
3. The Website needs to provide INSTANT confirmation.
4. The room names should match, but if you can demonstrate, that the room is comparable, it will also work with discrepancies in the name.
5. The price difference has to be more than either USD 1 or 1% (whichever is higher).
5.b In regards to hotels located in australia and New Zealand the price difference must be greater than 3% .
Hotels for which you will get reimbursed:
(Note: There have been significant problems with getting full reimbursements from IHG, especially for reimbursements in other currencies than USD)

Hi, guys, sorry for keeping this thread busy...
I got a BRG approved at one of the Intercontinental in Europe yesterday, and now, I'm not able to view my itenary for that hotel, other itenary can be viewed without problem...Any idea what's going on? Anyone has similar experience?

Usually you have access to the reservation details through the mobile website.

I've had luck emailing the reservation to myself when it won't show online.
I recently had a BRG approved and the approval email included this gem:
"Please also be advised that we have been experiencing challenges with the interface between the Hotel's systems. Sometimes when a room night is revised to complimentary, the change is reflected in Holidex as a Hotel change and/or a suite type change. While our I.T. team is working with IHG's I.T. team to resolve this issue, please be assured that the guest's reservation remains as it was booked."
The reservation actually does have me at a different hotel, in a different room type (not the suite I booked and received for my BRG). What a mess.
I recently had a BRG approved and the approval email included this gem:

In my case usually the number shows up, and when I click on it (this is the regular, non-mobile site), it is empty. I can then click email confirmation on the right hand side and it will email me a copy.
Once I did online chat and they were able to send me a copy to verify the room was indeed comped. Given my recent example of being moved to a totally different property I've given up trying to figure it out--I just keep my emails and if they try to charge me I'll dispute with CC. Helps me worry less.

In my case, I can see that my reservation at that hotel exists in my list of upcoming reservation, but when I clicked on 'View Reservation Details', it will redirect me back to the same page instead of showing me the reservation details...zzz

If the confirmation number won't come up at all then you might need to get chat/brg crew involved.

My experiences have been that when a BRG is approved and the hotel acknowledges it, the reservation is no longer viewable online.
But it has never caused any problems at check-in.

For ICs you'll get an updated confirmation when the night is changed to comp.
For the rest you can't see it normally - but that's the way it is. You really shouldn't be so panic about this - you shouldn't use BRG if you don't trust IHG.
There is a 'risk' that you have to pay upfront and get it reimbursed afterwards.

Got the approval emails from the IHG BRG team, but in the email it says that the hotel would send me a confirmation, and that's why I though something is missing...
