Alaska is not a trick clue. The river appears to be Turnagain Arm, part of the Cook Inlet in Alaska.

Here is a matching photo (look at the rocks on the right of the river)

Trying to work out what the actual answer is though is not so straight forward. The Cook inlet is 180 miles long according to Wikipedia.
Look on the right there is stack photo name:
Turnagain Arm, Alaska

There are virtually no trees in Iceland, so this is highly unlikely to be the case.

I have noticed the last two locations were near hotels. Kenai Fjords National Park is near the location in the posted picture that someone found, as well as near Seward where the closest hotel is located.

My current guess is Chugach National Forest, Alaska which is on the south shore of Turnagain Arm. The north shore is Chugach State Park.

m I right?
Granted the previous two weeks have just required a national park, but the clues are about the answer, for Aruba it was:
'I stretch across thousands of acres'
'Two indigenous species of birds call me home'

A national park can't 'flow' for almost 100 miles, so I think there needs to be a river/water feature/lava flow/glacier in the answer

I am not at all sure about that. Recall that clue 3 for Aruba was "Made of lava quartz diorite and limestone."
