The press release suggests that this may not be part of a bigger change

This agreement implements Outrigger's "many brands, one 'ohana (family)" strategy that leverages the company's ability to manage multiple brands, while maintaining the acclaimed Outrigger collection of upscale, luxury leisure hotels and resort condominiums located in some of the most desirable destinations throughout Hawaii and the Pacific.

I was a bit shocked that IHG does not own any property in Hawaii !

This thread should be a IC thread, lol !

Hope IHG will own more property in Hawaii so I can redeem for award nights.

Oh, I hope this means more ICH branded properties in Fiji

Outrigger at least one resort I know of in Fiji (and it's lovely - I've stayed there). I hope this leads to a broader licensing deal.

It's Hawaii and it's a HI so I would expect to see 25K points a night. However, some places like the HI Maldives started (and still is I believe) out at 15K points. Same with the HI Bali which is also still at 15K points. we will know once the property is made available for online bookings.
