1000pts - canada stay bonus
1st paid stay (check in jan 4, out on Jan 5) of this year got the following points:
Qualifying Stay 859pts.
platinum bonus 429pts.
canada stay bonus 1000pts.
priority club bonus offer 3000 pts.
I sign up all those code (from 1 to 9999) that posted late last year. I search thru all those codes and found the following 2 are the one with the word "Canada" in it:
3891 Next Stay Bonus (Canada)
4973 Visit the United States & Canada Bonus
Not sure if this is what trigger the above 1000pts bonus. But I can't find my email confirmation for either of the promo code. Hence, I do not know if they did registry or not back then.
Here is some other background info if it will help others:
- 1st paid stay since Dec 7 (check out on Dec 11)
- this paid stay is at a HI hotel
- last paid stay is at HIX
- last paid HI stay is Dec 2

Just had my 2nd stay for 2010 posted and I have the 1000pts again:
Qualifying Stay 1755 pts.
platinum bonus 877 pts.
canada stay bonus 1000 pts.
Which means from the 2 Code that I search and found above:
the 2nd one is most likely the one that will trigger it. as the 1st one seem to be a 1-time thing.
For those member from the US, if this code, it should show on yours too -- base on the desc of the promo code.
