Quick bump, considering 10 day stay next January. Hotel has great reviews, how are the beaches or is the hotel pool the place to be. Is the breakfast Western style or Thai? Any grocery stores around? How did you get there from Bangkok?

Beach is nothing to speak of and it is a very long promenade.
Hotel is very good, you should aim for a suite with a beach view.
Grocery stores like 7/11 easily accessible. Private car collection is in the oder of US $50, it's a fair stretch, 2 hours. Coach is a cheaper option but check timetable in advance for convenience.

First stay i was comped up to a high level oceanview suite from an oceanview room . 2nd time involved a lot more ,frankly unnecessary , hassle but was ultimately achieved...They're well worth it .They really make ones stay Pattaya more than tolerable

Had a stay last month.

As a Platinum, the basic room was upgraded to a room with sea view.

Another platinum booked a Suite. There was no upgrade to the better suite, though it was available.

Checkout was given till 4 pm and then extended to 5.

Hotel is quite nice, it was our 3rd stay in 3 years.

The Havannah Pizzeria is amazing.

Just stayed there over the weekend. Received 2 level upgrade. Booked executive tower and got a suite. No club access.

Another IHG option in Pattaya is Intercontinental - they will be taking over the Sheraton Resort on Phra Tamnak Hill. I will be staying at the Holiday Inn as a Spire member on a points booking, and will report back on any benefits

For those in search more of a resort holiday than the typical Pattaya "attractions", this property is very nice. I have been here many times in Sheraton guise and it is a great property which is very well managed. You are also a world away from the zoo that is the City below but close enough to avail yourself of the few good restaurant and bar options in town.

No club access. Just stayed there 2 days back in Exec tower as IHG Platinum. I went up to see the club lounge however, design is nice and views are great. No idea about drinks/food offerings. Unlikely worth the premium, I believe.
