Thank you very much, melvin the mole! Looks very nice!

Does anyone know about RA treatment on paid and/or award stays?

I wanted to book a room for next February and just two weeks ago there was plenty of availability.

Now the hotel does not show any availability until exactly March 1, 2009. Could this mean that the opening has been postponed until then?

Has anyone already contacted the hotel regarding RA upgrades / benefits (incl. award stays)?

Contact with hotel

I have a rewards stay booked at this hotel for next year. The hotel has been excellent in replying to my emails and have allowed a paid upgrade to a suite (I will not have RA status when I travel). They will arrange airport transfers -return transfer 110 Euros.

Unhappy New info: soft opening Feb. 2009

Though my 15 Jan. 2009 reservation has not yet been canceled, IC Guest Services just confirmed to me that the official opening has been moved back (again) to 01 March 2009, with a soft opening of 01 Feb 2009.

Can't tell you how bummed I am.

RA benefits on reward nights

Hi together,

as a few of you seem to have contacted the hotel already, maybe someone knows, how reward nights are handled.
For 30.000 points / night it already looks like a bargain. Wonder, where the catch is.
Any idea, if on reward nights they offer also upgrades, compl. mini-bar... for RAs.
Would make the 30k points deal even more attractive

If nobody has info, maybe someone can provide the IC Mauritius mail-adress to me. I´m to blind, to find it on their website.

Regards,
Andy

It's difficult to tell you, if they honor all the RA benefits on a reward stay, because the hotel is still closed, so nobody could make the experience. The only way to find it out, is to contact the hotel.

Mauritius Aug / Sep ?

Hi together,

any advice, if a trip to Mauritius beginning end August - Sep is ok?
Seems to be "winter" in Mauritius, but not sure what this means in terms of Indian Ocean Island

IC Mauritius Master Thread [merged]

I would like to try to contact the hotel but the telephone doesn't work yet and PC don't think its open.

I thought it was soft opening in December (c.18th) but does anyone have any confirmation that it did.

If so how do I contact the manager?!

It is not yet open. I had a booking for tonight and was forced to find alternative accommodation.

When is your intended stay?

Not until late March. However the rate at the IC website is nearly 3 times more than a travel agent can get so won't be booking direct unless they'll match the rate! Hence why I would like to contact the hotel but doesn't seem like it will be possible.
