Does anyone know how the evening presentations are in the club lounge?

I would like to know if it is more desert type food or dinner type food

That is correct. Bread, dips, small sandwiches and canapés and some desserts and little cakes are the norm.

Nah, the little African place near on St. Denis near Chatelet has the best Mojitos. And not expensive either. And if you want beautiful people, go to Costas, also very close to the PH.

As for the Le Grand, this RA still has free Club access and full mini-bar. And he only orders 2 ingredients in his Club omelet.

Have any RAs stayed here using the free nights promo? Would appreciate it if you could share your experience on upgrades and benefits.

Yep, that's the one. Rue Saint-Honoré as I recall. Lots of fun during fashion week, but don't try to get in without a tall model on your arm.

So does the hotel give club access for RAs or is the an exception?

It depends who you ask. IC sent us all brochures that state that RA's are entitle to a Club room when available. At every IC that I have stayed at that has a Club, they have honored this. But several other Flyertalkers say they have been denied. YMMV.

I think it depends on where you stay and what room type you booked. I haven't had any problems getting club access in Paris, but I can't imagine that waving the RA brochure at the front desk people at, say, the IC HK yields a club room. Does it for you, stimpy?

I always book the lowest cost room and get Club. But I don't think I have stayed at the IC HKG since that brochure was issued. You are right that IC HKG is the last place I would expect to get good RA treatment.

Had another nice stay here recently- I really like this hotel and the location. Booked a deluxe room for two nights through Virtuoso, and a third night with the free nights promo. Received a junior suite for all three nights, with club access for the first two (stated as such.) (I'm pretty sure I could have gotten into the club the third day but we had other plans for dinner and an early departure.)

I will say they have pared back the club offerings considerably- not just the hours but also rationing the wine as in putting out half full bottles (more than once so not an anomoly), and 5 minutes before closing time recorking and putting the empty bottle I had taken out of the ice back into the ice . But still pleasant people and a nice stay.

Used my free nights for my stay in Dec.
Any experiences with club access and upgrade on a free stay?
And what are these brochures with club access?

Using points for free stays, I always get an upgrade with Club access and free mini-bar at the Le Grand. But that is above and beyond the T's and C's of the Ambassador program.

The brochures were sent out to all RA's back when the "new" program started.

Does anyone know what the RA rate for a sedan is from CDG to the IC Le Grand?

I want to see if it is cheaper than a taxi
