The new "corporate" renaming of room/suites catagories has hit PLG.
My booking for prestige suite has changed to "1 KING bed 1 bedroom suite with balcony"
It does sounds rather clinical

Yes it is generally locked and you have to knock or ring the bell. That's a good thing as the old club used to have a lot of people wandering in thinking it was free for everyone.

I just saw that my room description has been updated from Club room and is now listed as a King bed premium room, which is fine, but there is no mention of lounge access in the new booking - oh well I still have a e-mail where the room is listed as a club room, so I guess we will be fine.

The InterContinental Ambassador guaranteed one room category upgrade excludes Club InterContinental or Regent Club experience/lounge access. Should a member’s original room purchase be one category lower than an advertised Club room/suite category, the member will be assigned the one category upgrade without the Club InterContinental or Regent Club experience/ lounge access.

Love2travel73 : You should be ok,
We have a club room booked aswell and due to the expected AMB upgrade, the room type was changed to a placeholder roomtype losing the club benefits description.
On another side note,
1) The sunday brunches are back and also the festive Easter brunch returns:

2) it is going to be a busy Easter holiday at the hotel:
i checked the availability at the hotel for rooms, seems that from Thu 14 untill Sat 16 April it will be a full house:

My friend is there now and said that we should book everything ahead, and that it seems most of the people from our town have gone there, it is like we are lemmings…. 🤣🤣🤣
Brunch would be really nice, I will check that out. Thanks.
we have also reservations for Kei so that is going to be a treat.

A busy morning,
Packing stuff for Paris hoping to get advantage of predicted sunshine.
Yesterday the restaurant Foutaine Gallion called me to apologise for cancelling our Monday dinner reservation.
I made an alternative booking at restaurant Drouant as it seemed across the street, so nearby.
Checking the IHG app:
- our orginal club room had switched to executive twin and now to 2 twin bed classic!
But
- our orginal prestige suite -> renamed 1 King 1 bedroom suite with balcony -> upgraded to ambassador suite !
You can all expect a thorough review!
Although it is Easter / Pesach|Passover i am quite excited to get this unexpected surprise
