IC Clement Monterey Master Thread

I'm surprised there is zero discussion about this newest
addition to California IC scene. The website takes reservations
starting June, but I just called PC and it is apparently open.

Will try it for a weekend soon. Has anyone seen it?

Have not been there yet - but will go in August.

Had recently email contact with the hotel and received an answer from them yesterday "...The hotel had a successful opening yesterday..."

So it seems like they had their opening on Friday.

Please post a detailed report after your stay!

I've booked my stay in July, so I'll post if nobody does beforehand.

Posted on my blog today a piece about The Clement InterContinental Monterey with several photos of the property.

The hotel is still finishing up lots of features. The bar and restaurant and workout space are ready. I love the jelly art lightshow in the lobby stairway to the second floor.

This hotel is a fine addition to Cannery Row and provides a good piece of public access viewing of the Monterey Bay from Cannery Row on par with the views from the Aquarium decks next door.

Satori,

thanks a lot for your report and the pics!

As you have also been in some of the rooms: What about the room sizes and the views?

Hope it's open. They are taking reservations for mid June. Unsurprisingly, weekends more expensive than weekdays, and some Saturday nights are sold out.

AAA rates are within $20 of the Travelzoo rates; as it's uncertain whether TZOO earns PC points and room night credits I went with AAA.

I was walking past the Clement yesterday when I saw it was open. I'm in town for work. I walked into the lobby and made a reservation for this weekend. I'm excited as it looks to be a very nice hotel. I'll post a review after my stay is completed.

We will be there this upcoming weekend too! So far I've had
an amazing communication with the hotel.
We'll post my review and pictures.

My short report

Well, we just spent a great weekend in Central California - part of it
because of an amazing service in the new IC Clement.
From the moment you step inside, stuff makes every effort to make your stay great.
Everyone seems to be very proud of the hotel. Many people are visiting
and once you checked in, they show you the hotel as well.
It's located on Cannery Row next door to the aquarium.
We were assigned a luxury suite on the 3rd floor - a great, large corner suite
with many windows and a bedroom balcony. Both rooms have a fireplace
and an LCD TV above it. Many channels in HD.
There are two bathrooms - a smaller one before the main entrance
to the living room and the main one open to the bedroom.
A lot of space. And some great views in all directions.
You can see those views on my pictures. As well as the suite.
The hotel is great, it's new and some hiccups happen - we waited almost
an hour for our breakfast the first day, but you see people trying and it's
obvious everybody is still learning. A great place for a weekend drive from LA.

IC Clement DO?

This is home territory for me. Would there be any interest in a June or July DO? If so, I would be happy to contact the hotel to see if they'd be willing to do something special for us FTers.

Will try it for a weekend soon. Has anyone seen it?

Had no idea it was even there until I walked by it today during my visit to Montery. Already booked a weekend for August.... We will see how they treat RA's.
