IC Phnom Penh Master Thread
Hi all,
Just did a search through here but didn't find much info. Has anybody stayed recently at the IC Phnom Penh and if so, do you know if the rooms have High speed internet access? Thanks in advance |
It's been a couple of years since I was there and they absolutely did not have any Internet. There were nearby internet cafes though.
Check out the wine shop in the lower level and tell me if it is still there and still as fantastic as you could imagine. |
I was there earlier this year. There were some decent speed P.C's in the business centre, and I am sure that there was a hub box on the desk. But I am not totally sure - sorry.
It's a nice enough hotel - but make sure you get a room on the Exec level so you get lounge access. And the wine shop is still pretty damn fantastic... :) |
Hiyall, plan to visit my friend who's working in Phnom Pehn. I'm PC Platinum Ambassador, will I be upgrade to a Club floor room if I book a normal deluxe room ? BTW, what are the features/benefits of staying on Club Floor besides the usual breakfast/cocktails in the Club lounge ?

Any updates on this IC? I am there in July
|
Was there a few months ago. It is the same as described in the previous posts. The internet is still so so, and available at the business center. Have a nice trip.

The upgrade to Superior room sounds weak.. let me know after you stay. I thinking of going in August.
|
Yes. Sounds very week.
I will post back and PM you when I see the results. |
I have not been there yet, but it appears that the "Executive Room" is a Club Intercontinental Room.
|
Any recent experiences?
|
I actually checked in and then checked out early (not because the property wasn't OK where it was) as the location was no where's near the river front location where the night life stems from so I opted for a 4* on the riverfront.
Bring lots of US1's as you can use them EVERYWHERE for EVERYTHING. Larger US bills sometimes gets you local currency back which no one wants, especially the locals where US green is still "king"!

Intercontinental Phnom Penh-Executive Level?
I was thinking about booking the executive level at this hotel. Has anyone stayed here and would they recommend it? Is there free wifi in the lounge? Thanks.
