HIX Siam is usually more expensive than the other HIX's in Bangkok because of it's location near National Stadium and the BTS there, though it's high floor rooms have nice views and it's bf area has an outdoor area.

Or helps you get over the hump?

(edit: I agree with you but corporate does what corporate does)

Where is the profit in pulling it back? There simply is none, and significant potential new business will be sacrificed by fixing this "error" at a time when companies are legitimately starting to s**t themselves over the looming economic catastrophe that's (barely) being held back by extreme measures (record fast rising US interest rates) ahead of the US midterms.

Any cheap properties around the world?
I renewed Ambassador and it extended it to Dec 2023

I actually have Ambassador and haven't renewed. Currently, my IHG status doesn't expire until December 2022. Are you telling me if I renew right now, my IHG Diamond status will extend until December 2023?

yeah, than it would be clear that the member was not eligable to get the newly Diamond benefits on those bookings,
giving IHG reason to close and shutdown the account and retain the points balance

IHG can be stupid in their IT but they can be ruthless in policing accounts,
remember they closed a lot of Chinese accounts (we all know why) without hesitation,
even though greater China is their focused growth market.....

YMMV

a trip down memory lane:

regular or cowboy or crowned head: IHG shows no mercy to anyone and is strict serious:

Who puts out a status update webpage open to anyone? No verbiage on the page stating it is for particular corporate employees.
To make matters worse the page is still up and active. Makes me wonder if this is somehow intentional.
Yeah, also, why on earth do IHG make the sign-up to the offer not require a login? Just key the username and you will be registered, if there were an eventual ban, you can blame some others registered for your account without your consent.

Thank you so much for the clarification! Although not planning to stay with IHG still.

Would have book the remainder of my trips this year to IHG hotels but will pivot back to OTA since they are pulling this back.

Same here but enrolled. First time I had it was 2015. I was one of the first to act on this, as I'm in Asia. If they pull the plug on the ones who captured this, it will become a PR fiasco.

It's possible to renew Ambassador while you're in the middle of a membership year?

As per Ambassador T&Cs, paragraph #5, you may renew your subscription within 92 days of the expiration date.
