Is the extension trick now working for first-time Amb purchases, or were these people existing Amb who weren't Diamond, used the promo for the instant upgrade, and then renewed? Thanks.

I can confirm the Ambassador trick still works. My Diamond status immediately got extended to December 2023 and I was able to use my Diamond Ambassador benefit at the IC Singapore. Btw, it's a nice hotel!

Checking out tomorrow from my 10-th night. I scanned the whole internet on every language I know, but there are simply no posts at all from anyone who tried to extend status by 10 nights as stated in the offer. I guess in a few days I will be the first to have the answer if it works or not, will post here.

I’m currently Diamond until the end of December. My Amb status expired recently. I didn’t even use my BOGO cert this year. We have an upcoming points stay at the IC San Diego. I just got the final chance to renew email. If I renew as a Diamond will it extend to the end of 2023?
