Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo [Master Thread]

Have anyone had a stay at this new hotel?? Some really attractive points redemptions on the IHG website for November and also quite reasonable points redemptions for next year cherry blossom.

Possible stay this weekend. Any recent reviews?

What Platinum Elite benefits might I expect? Late checkout (on a Saturday)?
What time is the Social Hour on Fridays?
Do standard rooms have a tea kettle?
I can't find a Kimpton secret code valid this month; anyone know it? Last one I see ended September 5.
Thanks in advance.

Any offer for Kimpton if you have 40N lounge access?

As a IC RA and Kimpton Inner Circle, I am now evaluating if I should stay with my usual IC ANA Tokyo hotel or Kimpton Shinjuku for my upcoming trip in December during Xmas period? Wondering how is the breakfast spread here given that Diamond Elite members can opt for complimentary breakfast.

@ Raynyan Thanks for sharing! Greatly appreciate it. Would you recommend IC ANA Tokyo for Kimpton Shinjuku assuming all things equal?

It’s depends on what you give the priority. Below is my point of view.

Room size: equal
Room spec: Kimpton
Breakfast: Kimpton
Club Lounge: ANA IC Tokyo
View: ANA IC Tokyo
Location: equal
Access: ANA IC Tokyo

I can see inner circle/RAs have received some nice upgrades but I have not seen any experiences from plain ole diamond members. I’m curious to see if I’ll receive an upgrade from walk in show essential room to king premium

I did receive a Premium upgrade from Standard on award nights without asking this summer as plain Diamond.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Maybe it looks better in person but it looks a bit unfinished. It is very large for Tokyo standards tho.

Yes, thank you for the report and pictures. I also find it hilarious how they get nice grill marks on the bacon and sausage while managing to keep them quite pale overall though, a skill .

My room spec vote would go to renovated rooms at ANA. This feels a bit too much IKEA going on and I absolutely detest the open concept bathroom.
