Hotel now accepts reservation 24th August onwards.

Just read that it will only have 79 rooms which should keep it from having a big resort mass tourism feel.

Obviously the hotel is late in opening (hopefully not worse). 😬
Let's see what IHG will offer me as an alternative accommodation, as my flight and rental car are already booked.

I'm guessing they will push it to next summer to escape low season. The Jumeirah hotel here closes for winter.

I was booked for the week it was opening at the end of August but cancelled my reservation when I saw they were no longer selling rooms. Was a bit strange they were opening that late in the summer in the first place!
I like the look of Hotel Singular, Can Bordoy and El Llorenc Parc de la Mar but not sure which to choose.

I negotiate to keep my Diamond Inner Circle benefits (upgrade, free breakfast, late check-out), as the reservation unilaterally cancelled by IHG was initially for a Kimpton property.
Wait and see.

We are booked in 18th to 23rd September using a mixture of points and free night certs.
Ive heard nothing from IHG or the hotel.
Im on live chat now but getting nowhere.
Any advice? Flights and car hire are booked!

Hotel delayed again. This time by 1 week.
Theyve been very helpful in sorting out an alternative for the first 4 nights and theyve comped us 2 nights.

I was unable to stay at the Kimpton due to the postponed opening.
But at least I could see it from the air 😊
