True Yellowjj, 11 at 5000 and only 33 out of 200 in total.
Proof that this is a DEVALUATION.
Most of the 10000 and 15000 point hotels (there are some exceptions) are average hotels..and if they're a good brand in not the most desirable of locations.

Managed to snag two stays in Rome, one for two nights and the other for one night. Also snagged two nights in the Naples hotel, without even checking where it is or what it is like.

I see that three properties at which I stayed for 5K/night within the past 24 months are now on the list at 10K/night: CP Edison, NJ; CP Saddle Brook, NJ; and HIX, Batavia, NY.

Pointbreaks is dead
Well, after the recent "enhancement" we can safely say that IHG has effectively killed Point Breaks.
Holiday Inn that were previously going for 25000 points are 15000 in the low season? Give me a break, not a Point Break.
A NJ Crowne Plaza Saddle Brook that was on Point Breaks 1.5 years ago for 5000 in October is twice as much now for February?
And to all the bloggers trumpeting about "oh, look, they promise nicer hotels and more availability" yeah, go lounge at Holiday Inn Express Tuxpan for 15000.
And, apparently, you're not able to add other people to the bookings.

Crap. For the first time absolutely nothing appealling for us. Combined with recent devaluation of specific properties this make life easier - will not bother pursuing the current accelerate promo as points are worth so much less now. Instead will concentrate on Hilton, Starwood/Marriott and Accor. Goodbye Spire this year I think.
