IHG Accelerate End of year promotion (2015)
 

Latest version of the Big Win, or Into the Nights is accelerate, running from Sep 1 through Dec 31.

24 paid nights looks nigh on impossible (46,800 points), but 5000 for the first stay, and 6000 for a weekend seem do-able. 1000 for redemption sounds low, but we'll see. I'm planning on applying for the card, but prefer 80,000 points to ... 2000!

My total points to be get is 61200

The problem - I'm seeing just 6 offers...

Are they really going to so blatantly entice people into opening duplicate accounts? Two free nights for new members - probably on ridiculously easy targets - and points for existing members - with ridiculous targets?

New members get a free night for staying two nights, then the second free night for staying another two nights. So, that have to stay on 4 eligible paid nights to get those free nights.

It's kind of odd that this promotion and the Share one overlap for the first week in September. That could help out a lot for both goals.

I've got 6 offers, but for the bonus I need to complete 5 out of 7 ??

Looks like an easy 50,000 points. Only thing that looks weird is, like others, it says 3 of 5 but only 4 offers are listed.

OK, so 4 nights at a dirt cheap HIX for 2 nights at a top IC .....! Still sounds good to me - especially as it is nights and not stays, do doable on 1 mattress run.

Remember that IHG matches credit cards, though - if you open a new account and pay with a card you used for a stay linked to a different account, the audit team will spot it.
