Candlewood Birmingham Hoover (AL) (Master Thread)
I had a one night stay October 8, 2013.
I strongly recommend not staying at this property. Here's why: - room smelled overly musty (my scent is severely damaged) it was a disgusting, offensive odor of mold covered up with cheap cleaning supplies - towels made me and my travel companion itch badly. VERY BADLY! The minute I exited the shower and dried off, my skin was irritated (ditto for my travel companion) - I've slept more on airport floors that are more comfortable. The sofa sleeper was badly damaged (we had a 1Q suite and generally don't sleep together). The springs on the sofa-bed squeaked loudly and needs replacement YMMV ~ |
But surely it must have been better than a street corner:

The only Candlewood I've ever stayed at was Las Vegas years ago, with a dim recollection of the place as being rather grim.
