Club Intercontinental
I received a very prompt reply regarding the Club Intercontinental benefits at the IC Danang, as below;
Dear xxxx,
I would like to offer the club InterContinental package at US 200++/room/night with its benefits provided at the moment as follow:
Meet & greet at the airport in our lounge by our airport representative
Luggage assist during arrival
Private limousine transfer both ways (up to 2 guests per car)
Butler service
Packing/unpacking of goods
One time pressing service (upon arrival or before departure)
Breakfast in Citron for 2
30 minutes foot reflexology massage per guest and stay
Guaranteed reserved sun bed on the beach
Priority dining and entertainment reservations and seating
Priority Spa reservations
Additional in-room amenities plus gift
In-room soap menu and pillow menu
Late check-out 4pm
--------
Seems surprisingly poor value to me or am i missing something? A few of these benefits would be applicable to RA/A members, and the rate that i'm on already includes 2 way transfers.
Surprised that there is no evening cocktails etc or all day coffee/tea/softdrinks included.
I'm sure I read a TR which said that evening coctails were complimentary for RA or "Club" guests from a seperate menu in one of the bars....

We may be resigned to staying at the Hyatt Regency instead.

Wonderful Resort
Just finished a stay there for two nights with the Mrs. on cash & points - 15,000 + $70.
On arrival we decided to pay for an upgrade to the Atrium Suite, which would have cost $150 a night because of Chinese New Year. Instead we opted to enroll in the Ambassador program for $200. Got upgraded to the Atrium Suite + free night cert for future stay. We got a decent Chilean wine + cake as a welcome gift.
The resort is still very new, extremely beautiful, and felt nearly empty - there were probably less than 150 guests while we were there. Construction is still underway, and I believe they said it would be completely finished by 2014.
Breakfast was a little expensive at $25 a head, but was plentiful, and the views were superb. Keep in mind once you get there you're completely isolated from everything - a cab ride into town is at least 20 minutes, with the airport at about 30 minutes (and $18) with no traffic. The ___LONG___ bar was pretty slick, and has a happy hour buy 1 get 1 free from 5-7pm, though as with all Asian bars you're best off sticking to beer or wine.
Truly a luxurious experience. My wife is still talking about it. ^

Curently being here with Mrs and two kids, booked classic room using free night cert, were upgraded to Premium. Until now, it was my best hotel & resort experience.
I will make full report when stay is completed
Happy Chinese Lunar New Year every one.

Just finish our stay,
The resort was not open officially, Grand opening estimate on March13
I liked the bathroom with rain shower, comfortable bed with about 10 pillows
Was upgraded to Premium King (booked classic room using BOGO)
I tried to book Premium King before with hope that hotel will upgrade to Autrium suite, but after email conversation with hotel, which denied upgrade for Reward stay & BOGO rate, changed back to Classic room.
Were given small wooden card holder as a gift, plus 4pm check-out & fruit in the room.
We loved Harnn amenities + Toiletries Kit for man & woman (separately)
Our room is on Sky Level
Very big Plasma TV with Bose sound system & huge selection of movies, music on demand
Huge balcony over looking the sea with dining table for 4
Illy Espresso Cofe machine in room, capsules replenish on-demand
The LONG Pool was closed, only garden pool open
Hotel now selling kind of visitor voucher 500K VND/per person (~ 24$), which visitor can spend on food & beverage, so the issue was: Beach sun beds (around 20) occupied by non-hotels guest, groups of 20 noisy visitor are every where (beach, pool, bar, receptions, Citron restaurant).
Overall, we loved this resort & enjoyed our stay here.

seems to be a larger issue than expected
It was closed mid of January because water was dripping down into the gym.
This is really bad news if you ask me. Being in a remote location and only accessible via the official resort entrance is (i.e. now was) one of the major USP of this property. Day guests can (and regarding this report will ) destroy the exclusive atmosphere

looks like RA get only a single up on paid stay. Any information about the minibar and the prices for dinner in the restaurant?

Minibar includes mostly softdrinks (~10), some Miniatures (~6) and some beers (~4). Snacks are not included.
There are three Restaurants. Apart from the French one (upscale and therefore expensive) the price level is rather low for a resort of this category. Somehow similar to normal restaurant prices in a larger western European city.
e.g. Pizza in Beach Restaurant 10, main course w/ meat in Citron ~15, Asian main courses from 8.

Regular 'ol Ambassador status gets an upgrade to the Atrium Suite - totally worth it. My trip report with pics here:
