Hi All,

I'm looking at a potential points redemption at this property, but when I go online, it's showing zero availability for like the next five months. Glitch? Thanks!

Award nights are limited to 5% of rooms, and get booked up. Even if base rooms still purchasable award rooms not. As a 200 bedroom hotel, just 10x award rooms are available per night.

Coming up to the more popular warmer and even hot weather periods now. Room rates no doubt higher than equivalent $$ value of points so many will stay on points or combo of points+paid nights.
Award night rooms for this peak period will have been booked 9-12months ahead. Could also be for a multinight stay just one night not available so then your search says not available for the multinight search.

Just in case though, ensure your preferences like bed type are empty before searching. Also you may find searching for paid stay your dates will not return entry level rooms as already fully sold out. You may need to search your dates one night at a time to find which remaining nights have award rooms left.

Hmmm that would make some sense as to why nothing is showing up in the near future, but it doesn't explain why I can't see anything for the whole year... Maybe my settings are wrong. I'll take a look.

RA experiences

Can any RAs comment on recent experiences here?

I'm thinking about staying here later this week on points and want to know ahead of time what to expect.

As an RA can I expect:

Room upgrade?
Club access?
Mini-Bar?

Thanks!

Fairly normal if an Ambasador or RA asks an IC about benefits/treatment you get quoted back a copy of IHG t+c's , as such why bother.

I got a similar response (just cut and paste) when I asked about benefit for Ambassador (this is after I had emailed back and forth, they knew my reservation etc). They didn't have the caveat for rewards nights for room upgrade. When I asked later they said my reservation (on points) didn't qualify for room upgrade. I mentioned how they said told me earlier it did (their cut and paste job), but they never admitted their mistake.

I feel they have quite a bit to learn in terms of customer service.

Can anyone confirm that there is zero award inventory all the way through March 2017?? I can't find a single available night online. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... but doubtful, as I can see inventory at other properties.

You are totally right. I think they have a glitch with their site... If I specifically search for May 21-22, I get the following:

However, let's say I put in April 23 - 24. I get the following:

Okay... no big deal... nothing avaialble... I click the 'View Available Dates' link, and I get the thing below:

It shows no availability, even though as we saw in picture 1, there is availability may 21 - 22...

If there's an IHG lurker here, please report this to the web team.

Booked 2 nights with BOGO certificate for Peninsula Suite and added 2 nights with points. Negotiated all nights to be Peninsula Suite successfully (hopefully availability allows). Inclusive Club access for the first 2 nights.

Was quoted 30% off 175usd++/night for additional access. ( So it comes to 122.5usd++/night )

What do you mean by "additional access"? Upgrade from standard room to Peninsula Suite?

I presume the Op meant, additional club access for the two points nights.
