IC's & RA Club Access Master Thread
After having both great experiences with IC club's and also not so great experiences being denied access for free, I am using a concept that the Hilton forum has to bring clarity and transparency to which IC's grant free access to RA's without charge. I know this impacts my stay decision (e.g. perhaps I'll stay at a Hilton as a diamond where I know I can get Exec lounge access if I know I won't get IC club access).
I'll do my best to peruse the IC RA experience thread, but will appreciate any/all posts. I'll sort the first three posts in: free access, choice, and charge. Should be self explanatory. Any IC's without a lounge will be included if they give breakfast coupons. Data is only valid from Dec 2011 onwards. ----------------------- Free Club Access for Paid stays (or free breakfast if no lounge): North America IC Atlanta Buckhead IC Boston - offering again as of Jan 2013 (previously not given in Sept 2012, latest report Mar 14) IC Cancun - as of Feb 14 IC Chicago O'hare - no lounge, but breakfast cpns IF you ask (Feb 14 report of no cpns) IC Cleveland Suites - no lounge, but breakfast coupons IC Dallas IC Houston IC Las Vegas Palazzo - free VIP lounge access, no free access to Prestige lounge IC Las Vegas Venetian IC Miami - includes award stays IC Miami Doral IC Milwaukee - no lounge, breakfast cpns IC Montreal - as of Mar 14 IC New Orleans IC San Francisco IC San Francisco Mark Hopkins IC San Juan - if lounge is open, mixed reports on breakfast cpns IC Toronto Centre - note alcohol is not free (affirmed by GM in May 14, but 1 report in April of no access) Central America & Carribbean IC Costa Rica - San Jose (includes award stays as of Aug 2013) IC Guatemala City IC Managua IC Panama Playa Bonita IC Panama Miramar IC San Salvador South America IC Buenos Aires - includes awards as of Oct 12 (awards no UG but club) IC Mendoza - no club but breakfast certs for Amb & RA IC Santiago de Chile - includes award stays as of Jan 12 IC Sao Paulo Europe IC Davos - incldues award stays (report as of Jul 14) If lounge closed get breakfast certs. I appreciate the effort on this, I would find an updated list very helpful!
The Clement in Monterey, CA USA does not have a lounge (and no longer offers breakfast coupons) IC Cozumel does not have a lounge IC New Orleans gives access IC Austin gives access I know when I went there wasn't a lounge, so they gave snacks/drinks at the bar, but I thought that the IC Cancun DOES have one now (reopened?) and allows RA access? Does Bali actually give club access to RAs? I've always paid for a club room there... |

mnredfox, does your list also include hotels that offer RAs a choice of EITHER club access OR suite upgrade? From my experiences, that's what most ICs offer nowadays as I rarely receive both club access and suite.

I think you must take out Berlin of the list with free access. Suppose you corrected after the input here, but forgot to withdraw Berlin.
