IC The Palazzo Master Thread
This is a thread dedicated to the IC "The Palazzo" in Las Vegas. It was created by moving post out of the pre-opening thread. We have decided to create one thread for The Palazzo and one for the The Venetian. There might be some post in this thread regarding both or the other property. I have not deleted this posts ouf of this thread for a better comparison. Thank you FLYGVA co-moderator IHG Forum

Confirmed: Sands China in talks with IHG
Sands China, Macau has terminated its management agreements with Shangri-la and confirmed it is in talks with IHG about managing the Macau properities.
http://hma.hotelworldasia.com/conten...-hotel-project Hopefully, we will very soon see two Alliance Resorts in Macau. |
Tried to book using BOGO link, no dates in April or May seem to be available. Also attempted to book using Sweet Dilemma Free Nights. Get the same, no dates available for requested dates. Is Las Vegas really that busy, or is the hotel inventory not loaded yet.

I can confirm the RA guaranteed room availability benefit is honored at the Venetian and Palazzo.
After getting passed back and forth between call centers a few times last week, I learned the lowest "guaranteed availability" rate is $950 per night. The quote was for a luxury suite Sunday through Tuesday next week, and there's a big convention going on, but that rate is "prohibative" for just about anyone. |

Sorry if this is already known, according to the newsletter from IC just in my box:
Royal Ambassador Members only: Please be aware that all Royal Ambassador member benefits apply at these InterContinental Alliance Resorts with the exception of free internet. Internet is included as part of the daily resort fee. More details here. |
I just got the email and was gleefully hoping that they got everything setup now and award BOGO availability would be there now.
Alas, no...... I'd love to change my upcoming reservation over to my SD awards. |
Palazzo Statement
Hey, yesterday I checked in at the Palazzo. Very personal Check-In "Vip-Lounge" Area, great personnel. Unfortunately the upgrade was from luxury suite without view to luxury suite WITH view only (two-level upgrade, in-between would have been bella without view)...I told them that I would have expected more but they politely "denied"...
The Vip-Lounge is supposed to be accessible all day long serving some small snacks and drinks (NOT the prestige lounge!). Great modern luxury suite though! Great view and the best minibar I ever saw...half a big bottle of Moet and Belvedere Wodka, some nice snacks that were included:-) Today I will check-out and move over to the Venetian... |

I am in exactly the same boat. Here for 1 night. The VIP Lounge is still reasonable. Decent offering of drinks - Moet Champagne - and open 24 hours.
Agree re the mini bar. One of the best. Are you talking about the small room with one entrance from the hotel lobby and another one off the high limit slots? I've never seen any alcohol there, only sodas, coffee or tea, and the food selection is usually finger sandwiches, fruit or cookies... The room upgrade is unsurprisingly same as for Grazie gold |
