The hotel is new, the rooms are clean. BUT: absolutely overpriced.

Daily rate starts at 200 Euro. Reduced the price with the friends and family rate.

Here some pictures:

Giving this a bump to see if anyone has had experiences. Considering this, the Courtyard, and the Pullman, all about the same price.
Didn't see a post-opening thread anywhere.
Thanks

I'll be there for Spring Break, around April 1-4. Reviews are quite good, #8 on TA, booked a room with points (30K) though rates are quite reasonable-- only US$82 per night.
Any recent experiences? Thanks!

Thanks for that! I kind of discovered Montpellier when trying to find a nice French small city to spend a few days in. Visitors seem to like it a lot. Did you?

We like this property so much it has become a tradition to spend 3-4 nights here at the tail end of our Cote d'azur holidays.

Montpellier is a lovely old charming city with a slow pace compared to the Riviera.

The pool is great for the kids.
Staff are pleasant. 5 minute walk to old town centre with lots of dining options.
Coming back again this summer.

We absolutely enjoyed our 3 nights here. I booked a suite with a terrace overlooking the (closed for the season) pool. Weather in April was pleasant but not hot. The room was quiet, super clean, service was friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was good enough. Great location too!

Staying here over the weekend. Have been upgraded judging by the app from a premium room to a suite as a platinum. Unfortunately the pool doesn't open until mid May which is a shame.

Does anyone know how easy it is to get from the hotel to the beaches by public transport and other must sees on a three day trip?

Thanks in advance

We rented bicycles for the day (some bike shop less than a mile away from the Crowne Plaza) and there is a super easy, flat bike route that almost completely avoids busy streets that goes all the way to the beach! It was a leisurely ride, maybe an hour each way (?) and the beach town is lovely. Again, early April isn't beach weather but it was reasonably busy in the beach town, plenty of restaurants open on the weekend afternoon we went.

Nice stay here with some nice weather around the 20c mark to get my pale English nicely pink.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the bus stop for the airport and main city centre train station, although that was just with hand luggage. It might be might more difficult with suitcases. The train station is a 10/15min walk.

Walking from the hotel to the city centre is quite easy through the nearby park, which was always busy during the weekend I was here. The beaches can also be reached by bike as mentioned in earlier post or by bus. Take the tram to etang de l'or and catch the number 1 bus or take the tram to garcia lorca tram stop and get the 631 bus.

Got my platinum drinks voucher and upgraded from premium room to a suite with fully stocked mini bar and a large balcony overlooking the pool, which doesn't open until 16 May.

The room also dressing room, two toilets, living room, bedroom, working area as well as separate bath and shower.

I didn't bother with breakfast.

Decent stay for 100eur average per night
