Great find, but now I'm nervous, that certainly isn't Kauia.

Can I ask what country you are registered in? I'm in France and although I got points for the first one, have gotten nothing since. And I made pretty much the same entries as you.

I wonder if they mistakenly gave points to Europeans in the first go-round, and then "fixed" that problem since then?

The photo doesn't have a location that I could find.

Maybe we shouldn't be focusing on the dunes but more on the Surf Board?

THe islands have tones of surfing shops and manufactures.

My hubby is a windsurfer and he orders alot of stuff from the area.

I wouldn't worry so much about the dunes but I will see if I can see a logo on the board.

I had those same answers and only got points for one week.

They got the surf board out some other picture and stuck it in,, THIS CONTEST IS GETTING LAME.

Saw that one too but they're just normal ghost crabs, also live around the shores of that other option, Tasmania... Might put Tasmania, Australia today just to make sure I get some points...

Tasmania also has a desert which the surfboard lead could point to.. Who knows..

I have a request:

Could everyone please post your picture AND the link to your picture for the next challenge.

If you don't know how, I can do a step-by-step post on how to do it.

I never know how to take you!!!

Looking at the pic you posted it is actually a windsurfing board and not a surf board ... Naish is based there, and Maui Sails is also in the area.

When I looked at the pic the only thing I focused on was the board!!

Just saying!

Only one picture posted actually appears to be in Kauai. Your picture made me nervous.

"Located in the Pacific" is yet another vague clue... do you know how many islands there are in the Pacific????

What clue is specific to Kauai... none.

People keep going on and on about how all the pictures come from Shutterstock, well that one did and it's not Kauai. However, the best picture that is posted IS from a Hawaii travel site and does seem to nail it to Kauai.

I'm sticking with Kauai as an answer mainly because of the picture posted by Tiki and I'm a little more confident since the crab picture came from Hawaii Magazine.

Windsurfing Kauai
Kauai's pristine beaches provide the perfect backdrop for a day of windsurfing. The island is home to several windsurfing companies that provide equipment and lessons for novices or great insider information for more experienced windsurfers. Kauai's shores offer a beautiful experience for every skill level, from Anini Beach Park near Hanalei for beginners to an intermediate ride at Kalapaki Beach on the island's east side. Advanced windsurfers won't want to miss the exhilarating ride and spectacular vistas at Tunnels Beach on the north shore.

I'm positive it's Kauai now. I had my doubts with the first clue, but the rainbow settles it. Kauai is home to the "wettest spot on Earth" -- Mount Waiʻaleʻale. It receives an average of over 400 inches of rain a year. That combined with the crabs which Kauai has tons of, tells me I made the right decision.

Hey I just posted the pic, jrc35jrc35 said he was nervous about it! Considering the pic says it's a desert I think we can safely say they just used the board as decoration.

I guess the PC people didn't know it was a windsurfing board either, I just searched for 'surfboard in sand'.
