Different beach but same background, plus golden sand and black rocks.

I have found a very good match, if you do a Google search for Hanalei Bay beach photo you will find the photo....

"Na Pali Coast" makes more sense than the entire island with respect to the "Covered with miles upon miles of beaches" clue, but seems a bit of a stretch for the "Highest point is over 5,000 feet" clue (I think the 5,000 foot elevation is more inland).

So much for logic!
I agree...great find...it's the exact photo of the 1st layer of cliffs! Just found the palm tree too...Shutterstock 61145806 just cropped and tilted before layering into photo. Shutterstock keywords hawaii palm tree

This is seplunking.

http://www.mauicave.com/photos/index.html

There is no seplunking on Kauai. It's just a tiny baby cave.
If it's in Hawaii I still think it's Maui.

If you did Kauai, Hawaii, USA yesterday maybe do Maui, Hawaii, USA today

Despite Hananlei Bay not being covered with beaches, it is a picture of the bay (isn't it?), so just in case would this cover all eventualities: HANALEI BAY, NA PALI COAST OF KAUAI, HAWAII, USA.

So what is Day 4's clue going to be - in the Pacific or in Hawaii? or South Pacific? (it was filmed there) and what about final images - the pier? an outrigger on the beach?

This is the second week in a row that the add at the top has been related to the location.

Great find on the pictures! ^

Someone kept saying Kauai on the first day, I wish I had listened! I never thought they would go with another location in the US.

Brilliant find, Tiki :-:
I feel like I have been spelunking through photos these past 2 days...
Based on Tiki's photo I'm voting Kauai, Hawaii, USA.

Will they visit Europe in the final weeks? PLEASE!

Okay, I think this is SOLID evidence that the photo is of the Napali Coast... or Na Pali Coast... of Kauai:

In the middle row of this web page, look for the hiker photo. In the background is the 'humped' cliff with the same steep vertical drop:
http://www.corbisimages.com/Search#p=5&q=na+pali+coast

(Sorry to make you scan the web page, but I haven't figured out how to embed an image in a post.)

Nearby Lumahai Beach has the same golden sand (and even vegetation) that we're looking for:
http://www.remaxkauai.com/photo-tour...ai-beach01.jpg

Lumahai Beach was the setting for the film South Pacific... maybe that will be the last clue! That, or, "I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair!"

Based on all of the clues, I think KAUAI, HAWAII, USA is a safe bet.

Feels good to be back in the game!

There absolutely is spelunking (caving) on Kauai: Waikapala's which is a wet cave and Manini-holo, a dry cave. Spelunking is a sport, it's not just walking though a cave on a guided tour.

It's not Maui, the highest point is too high.

From Wiki: Caving—also known as spelunking by some in the United States and occasionally potholing in the United Kingdom...

Maybe its not as known as Maui, but the pictures give us the location. I found some You tube clips of Na poli caves and this http://www.whitneyzone.com/wz/ubbthr..._hike_Kauai_Ha and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glSIjEtOMkI and http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-vid...=EN&id=5612980

Are all Day 1 clues misleading or made to be ambiguous - as in Active both Day and Night - that mislead us to Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica
