When I tried to renew my Ambassador membership, besides USD100 and 20K PC points options, 2 new choices there:

- Renew for $150 and receive 15,000 bonus points
- Renew for $200 and receive 15,000 bonus points plus a 10% points rebate on Reward Nights

* Maximum number of points to be rebated not to exceed 100K points in a calendar year

USD50 for 10K points are better than C+P (USD60) and seems count for status.
How did you receive this offer? Was it an email? Thank you in advance....

I could use the 10% off all bookings. Don't see it working for RAs, though.

Now I'm really happy that I didn't renew last week as I didn't see any of these options than. With 5 IC reward nights already booked for May next year it's an easy decision for me: 35000 points (15000 + 20000 discount on already existing reservations) in my case + BOGO + Ambassador for another year all for 200 $. A steal!

Can you get 100k as a rebate, or only 10% of a max 100k = 10k?

The latter gives you 10k/60$ for the price of 50$. No deal. The former is great for high burners.

It is a maximum rebate of 100,000 points.

From the way the T&C's are phrased I would also assume it's a maximum of 100k points you get back - but as so often with IC - it's open for interpretation.

**10% points rebate: receive 10% of redeemed points back on all Reward Night redemptions for 12 months. I'm guessing (from the way these bookings show up in the purchase history) that the 10% rebate will apply against the full points cost of the award booking, e.g you will get 4,000 points back for a 40,000 point IC booking even if you actually got it with 30,000 Points + Cash.

I also wonder whether the rebates will count for Platinum status?

My ambassador expires 31 Dec this year.

If i renew now (in october) - will this will take me 31 December 2012?

If i chose the $200 renewal option - will the 10% rebate be valid for redemptions for stays between now and december 31 within my CURRENT ambassador year?

thanks

My status expired in july of this year, but I keep getting the "renew now for 100$" emails, I wonder as well, would it begin now, so an october renewal?
