FoundersCard from CLEAR

CLEAR is offering me a free FoundersCard for one year, with a 35% discount on renewal after that. The benefits are unclear (pun intended) to me, just vague indications of elite status benefits, etc.

I already have top tier status with the hotels and airlines I use, and I get additional benefits from travel charge and credit cards. I always book hotels directly or use FHR/Virtuoso so that I get elite credit.

My instinct is that I do *not* want to take this offer. Are there any reasons I should reconsider?

I tried searching here on FT and didn't find much recent relevant information, mostly specific airline threads about discounted fares through FoundersCard for airlines I don't use.

I signed up for the trial. The first three partnerships I clicked on all required me to sign up for their premier version so I very quickly cancelled my trial.

Another seemingly popular reason for FoundersCard was as a shortcut to Caesars Diamond: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/gami...nderscard.html

However that has been discontinued (see latter pages of that thread) in favor of some partnership with the Wynn instead (I've never tracked this benefit closely myself so I don't know the low-level details)
