When to book

A newbie here. Planning on a multi city trip June/July 2025 going to Budapest & Prague, would like to get the opinion of members on how soon to book to get the best value.

What class of service? Starting from what city? Do you have any frequent-flyer miles, or credit-card points which might be convertable to frequent-flyer miles? If not, are you willing to apply for a new credit card to get some?

Starting from SFO, either Premium eco or Business class. I have started accumulating Aeroplan points.

If you are booking with miles/points you book as soon as possible as award seats are very scarce. July is high season for Europeans traveling to the US for summer holiday.

You have started collecting a year or 2 late. For a chance of USA EU award seats, need the ability to book today. A lot of demand June-July. Others will be booking awards, if available, now.
Look for flights to any central EU airport and then train to/from Budapest & Prague,

Thank you and will explore that option.

While this might be impractical, I'll throw it out there for the heck of it: China-Budapest flights are dirt cheap and there are a lot of them.
