Air Port Closure - Volcanic Eruption - Insurance
 

Booked. a 7 day Cruise Reykjavik to Reykjavik. If my flight to Reykjavik should happen to be cancelled due to the ongoing eruption in Iceland and I miss my cruise will Trip Insurance will Trip Insurance cover my loss.

Have you checked with your travel insurance? It should list what qualifies as a covered event and what needs to happen to trigger a payout.

The volcanic action is along a line of fissures a good distance south of the airport. It's not a mountainous volcano and is located on the Reykjanes Peninsula near Grindavik. Unless something significant happens these fissures will release magna build up more slowly than an explosive eruption.
