AirHelp Plus - anyone with personal experience?
Is anyone subscribed to AirHelp Plus?
Searching the forums, I can only find one personal experience posted, which seems a bit surprising on a forum of frequent flyers. On the face of it, 25 EUR/year seems like it should pay for itself if you fly frequently enough in Europe to have more than 1 somewhat-difficult EC261 compensation claim every 3 years. On the other hand, like the OP of that thread, I wonder if AirHelp really has any incentive to pursue the claim when they're not getting a cut of it! |
Hey there - I would definitely recommend Air Help. They are quite professional, answer immediately in any questions you may have and not to mention that the 50 euros per year for unlimited coverage of trips was almost too good to be true. Only 1 disruption during the year and it pays automatically the subscription - up to multiple times. Unfortunately, as predicted, their revenue model was not great for them and they just changed from unlimited trips to.. only nine () trips!! which is quite disappointing to say the least. At the same time, they doubled the price for the annual subscription. So, if you are asking me about if they are professional and correct, the answer yes. If you are asking me about if it was a great deal, the answer is again yes. If you are asking me if now, it worth it, honestly I don't know. (One solution / idea is to register only flights that are prone to delays / cancellations, for example the latest flight of the day of a route that will have accumulate all delays of the delay.) I hope I was helpful!

What I don’t really understand is what is their definition of trip? It should be exact to avoid confucion. Roundtrips probably are one trip, but what if there are separately booked flights withib the roundtrip? Does a trip always end in your home town or could you just add more flights to the one ”trip”?
