Air traffice controller stoppage Italy

Anyone have any idea of what to expect from the air traffic controller "stoppage" scheduled for Saturday July 15 in Italy?

It's said to be a "slow down" but not a true strike.

I anticipate delays but I'm hoping no cancellations.

I'm flying Venice to Atlanta that day (Delta).

There will be cancellations; ITA has already cancelled 133 flights.

As you are flying longhaul and are not reliant on a domestic/medium haul connection, your flight should be unaffected (though possibly subject to delays)

I guess I spoke too soon!

Looks like your flight has been rescheduled to operate as DL9887 to depart at 0800 tomorrow morning.
