Positioning to YYZ...

Hello!
I'm looking to book J tickets to South East Asia and noticed they are considerably cheaper out of YYZ than anywhere in the States. Any advice about positioning to YYZ the day before departure? If my flight out of Canada is a separate ticket from my flight into Canada, will that be an issue? I have 2 passports - US and UK - and don't think entering Canada for 24 hours will be an issue, but wondering if there's something I should be thinking about that I'm not...
Thanks in advance for any thoughts/guidance/advice you might share!

Shouldn't be an issue. If they ask you can always show the outbound booking but i've never had an issue though as always YMMV
