Air courier jobs, real or a scam?

I知 looking to retire soon, sand in my shoes, and I love to fly. An Uber driver suggested I check out air courier jobs, but Google has shown me no love. I知 assuming everything dried up because of Covid. Are there any legit companies that offer employment, even part time? I understand that most companies need you to fly out of either east or west coast cities. I知 not interested in being a ride share driver. Thank you.

Electronic transfer of documents and the likes of DHL, UPS, FeDX etc cargo planes circling the world with small packages has reduced demand for on board couriers. 25 - 30 years ago was different.
Several FT threads on courier over the years
