New Zealand from Doha

Hi
I am due to be in Doha later in the year - and wish to travel to NZ. Economy flights on Qatar airways are more than double coming back to London and flying from there. Are there any routings from (or from near) Qatar to NZ (pref Oneworld) that don't cost as much as £3k economy? I need to return to Qatar for my return trip to London.

Does "later in the year" include a period between around November and December?
Mwenenzi and Peter Snijder like this.

So have a UK-DOH return. And now want DOH-NZ nested return so to be able to match the UK flights.
A map from Great Circle Mapper - Great Circle Mapper

Wikipedia. But routes listed may not be up date. Or for later in the year. -->https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamad_...tional_Airport
Getting to AU and then a separate ticket to NZ an option. But depends on dates, visa, passport etc.
DXB has more airlines operating https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai_...tional_Airport
CX is a politcal risk. Non OW airlines may have better deals

OP's other thread-->Low Tax and charges to NZ

not so worrued about matching - just not paying £3k upwards and not have to fly back to London

If on or after Saturday 18 Dec will harder again. (or even 11 Dec). With NZ (and AU) effectively closed for ~2 years will be 100's/1000's wanting to go back to NZ (and AU) for Christmas/New Year. Would expect the airlines want to sell every seat for good money. And they will. Even getting a seat may be hard.

That's pretty much your answer. Flying between Doha and New Zealand during the world cup is going to be very expensive. Accommodation in Doha is also going to be very expensive.

If you can't return to London, you'll have to shop around for the cheapest tickets that work for your dates. It's an event that happens every four years with quite a bit of demand.

I'm staying in Doha - accomodation isn't an issue - I just wondered if there were any routes I hadn't thought of.-

Mid to late Dec will be a lot demand to NZ/AU. The QR flight currently goes DOH-ADL-AKL.
The World Cup in Doha is Mon, 21 Nov 2022 – Sun, 18 Dec 2022, plus days before/after will be busy for QR.

The post 3 links to airports list airlines/routes. But may not be accurate now or for Dec 2022

Looked at EK?
