YYZ to BKK

I am planning to go to BKK in mid May and come back in mid June. Was hoping that BR would start flying then but they are not going to do so. So what is my best choice in flying PE? AC or LH or any other airline or combination?
End of last year I flew AC and the Asiana from SEL to BKK. It was EC on Asiana and PE on AC. It was ok from SEL to BKK as it was about 5 hours. With AC, I at least have a chance to upgrade to business with a bid if it is an AC document. I have never flown LH and the transfer time in MUC is over 10 hours.
Any advice on how to do this would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Are the connections any better via VIE or ZRH?

I'd look at SQ's JFK/EWR-SIN A359 non-stops. Lots of convenient SIN-BKK connection options. And SQ PE is likely to be world's better than LH or AC.

I am flying from Toronto and I get about 2490 CAD for a return with PE on AC and EC on Asiana. Via FRA or VIE it is longer and more expensive.

Should I book separate tickets? I am originating from YQM and if I buy the thru ticket my departure at YQM is 0525. If I buy separate it is around d 0730. My connection to BKK via ICN is at 1430. The separate ticket is about 120 dollars cheaper and it is not the fare but the extra 2 hours in transit in YYZ.

With separate tickets, you risk losing the value of the ticket if your flight is rescheduled, cancelled, or delayed and if you must pay to check luggage, you pay separately on each ticket (with few exceptions).

Be sure that you're eligible (documents, passport/visa, COVID-19 requirements) to transit at any connecting point (on the same ticket) and that you're eligible to enter the country at every destination airport if you use separate tickets.
