Expiring airline credits?

I have credits (dollars, not miles) in my airline wallet that are going to expire before I can use them. Is there anything I can do? Can I book a cancellable trip and cancel it to extend the expiration date? Other ideas? Thanks.

Best to ask in the forum of the airline that has the credits. Will depend in the individual t&c's of the credit

Airlines are going to get gazillions from expiring credits and credits people have forgotten about/lost track of.
