Fare Calculation (FC) line has 1S .. what does it stand for ?

In the Fare Calculation Line what does 1S stand for ? Below is an Example:

TPE KL X/AMS KL X/ROM KL BRI1053.21/-LON KL X/AMS KL TPE513.59 1S2.25 1S12.38NUC1581.43END ROE31.396600

I know the below:
M = Mileage
S = Stopover
Q = Q Surcharge
1S = ?

Anyone who knows the answer.. please help.

Thanks,

Martin

The fare permits one stopover. Whether he makes use of it or not is a separate question.

Thanks for your quick reply.

So does this mean that pax can take ONE stopover and does not have to pay for it since he has already paid NUC2.25 + NUC12.38 * ROE 31.396600 = TWD 459.33 in the existing base fare ?

Please advise.

Thanks.

Am I reading it right that he is flying TPE-AMS-ROM-AMS-TPE? In theory, yes, he could stop over in AMS, but it may be that the fare rules required that to be specified at booking. There may be another fee for a change to the ticket's dates.

Agreed. So only if Changes + Stopovers are permitted then customer has to pay the Change Fee + ZERO Stopover Fee to stop in AMS. Did I get this right ?

I think so, but it would be wise to read the specific fare rules.
