Best program to Cambodia?

Hello,

I'm looking for flights from WAS to PNH in summer 2020 but I'm having difficulty finding 1 stops and short duration flights. I've checked United, AA, and Alaska and it the availability for economy seem to be hit or miss with 2+ stops and 28+ hours. Do you guys have any suggestion on which award program I should check with?

thanks,

Look for anywhere in Asia and then a separate ticket to PNH. SIN HKG, BKK etc
Looking for 1 stop WAS to PNH is a a little unrealistic

I thought about doing IAD to BKK since there's more flights but it might be a problem to do BKK to PNH as I'll be bringing over 2 50 lbs check in and I think those local flights charge a lot for check in bags.

Thanks for the airport wiki, havn't seen that. I did see award hacker and it was useful, I was thinking about getting MR for JAL. I checked JAL award flight and it's a hit and miss with some duration well over 30 hours.

thanks for the gcmap suggestions, are those suppose to be best for award flight that's mile base like ana and british airways?

With that excessive weight will be cost you may have to pay: such is life with ff awards.

The wikepedia entries for airports usually have the airlines & routes. Are not always up to date, but a starting point. Working backwards from the final destination can help. Just a random possible route with no particular ffp

The gcmap web site just calculates distance between airports. Not always the same as airlines, but close

Ii is unlikely that you will find anything much under 24 hours. I use AA miles to take CX via HKG for 70K AA miles in J, that usually involves a stop in ORD and another one in HKG. Actually I am not too upset about a stop in HKG after a 16 hour flight, and the lounges in HKG are not too shabby for a couple of hour layover.

International flights usually include those 2 50 lbs and thanks for the wiki/gcmap suggestions.

True, I was having difficulty finding availability in the summer through AA. Maybe more seats will open up later

Two to four weeks out the availability is usually pretty good, they may even open up 1st class seats. I know it feels a bit risky to wait that long, if you absolutely have to go I would book a coach seat on AA and wait for the J seats to open up. You can upgrade and/or change dates without fees.

Awesome and you can upgrade with miles? ya that's risky, i'm looking to lock something down by end of this month, november at the latest. Was hoping there's a lot of availability about a year before travel date.
