Question Best Points/Miles to Use to Get From CHO to CUN

I am overwhelmed. Does any know the best/cheapest program to use to get from CHO-CUN. My wife and I are flying there February 12-17 to stay at a resort. Somewhat flexible on departure airport in VA.

I have 110k AmEx MR points, 65k Citi ThankYou points, and 30k United miles. Tried Googling the options but it is overwhelming.

Start by searching for award availability at aa.com, delta.com, and united.com from CHO. If no reasonably-priced award options appear, you might have to repeat the searches from a different origination airport.

I did a bit of that but will look more. Are they better options with other programs though? Such as Asia Miles or British Airways?

If you can find SAAver award seats on AA with a connection through CLT or PHL, redeeming Iberia Plus Avios would probably provide good value; BA Avios would not, because BA charges for each flight flown, and you'd have to connect out of CHO.

You might also check cash fares out of BWI on Southwest's nonstop service to CUN.

Also, keep in mind that some -- not all -- FFPs allow for one-way redemptions. So you might conceivably fly UA in one direction, and DL in the other.
