Moved to London which airline should I do mile runs with
 
I just moved from Philadelphia to London and looking for a good airline to mile run with. I'm Titanium/LT SE Marriott which got me Premier Silver with United and I have a 10 year multi-entry Chinese Visa, but is it really worth those China/United mileage runs from London? My work allows me to work anywhere in the world, so now i want to take advantage of it and see the world. Any advise? Thank you in advance.

A lot depends on what you plan to use your accumulated miles for: routes, class of service, time of year. For example, BA Avios are very good for flights between LON and the rest of Europe, but not so good for long-haul flights because of high cash surcharges imposed.

Tell us more about your intended use of your miles, and we can better advise you.

I flew first class for the first time last month PEK -> CDG on AF and it was life changing. I thought Marriott lounge access was the best travel perk, but first class is what to aim for. I typically cant afford that ticket, so long haul - class of service is what I would aim for. I have offices in SIN, HKG, NRT, PEK I want to visit, but it's out of my own pocket. I would probably use the points to fly there. I can get to most major cities in Europe already fairly cheaply, so I would probably avoid BA Avios.

You might check out AA's AAdvantage program then. AA only collects surcharges when you redeem miles on BA or IB; that still leaves lots of other airlines available for surcharge-free redemptions.

You do not have to fly on AA to accumulate miles in the AAdvantage program. Subject to the fare class of your paid tickets, you should be able to credit most paid flights taken on AAdvantage partners to your AAdvantage account.

The first is BA specific. The second is broad.

Lots of good deals in Europe, you'll just want to pick and choose which ones and where you credit. Either AA or BA is likely to be an attractive place to place miles since many of the deals are either on BA or are on QR in J -- just pay attention to booking class, etc., and check here: https://www.wheretocredit.com/
