Strange behaviour
Hi all,
I hope I am posting this in the correct location? My daughter was flying with Norwegian Air from London to Buenos Aires and the plane did a strange "jink" and while passing Spain diverted course initially towards Spain, and then after maybe 100 mile it turned again back onto approximately it's original course!! Has anyone any idea why? I tried to post the flighttracker24 plot, but the forum won't let me!;-) |
Could be many things. Avoiding bad weather. Avoiding traffic that had priority. Avoiding a military exercise.

Or some onboard problem that turned out not to be a problem after all.

I spoke to my nephew (a pilot on 737s) and he thinks it was a glitch on the GPS tracking.
Which I think makes more sense? |

FR24 seems to have a more believable plot, and interestingly more or less every day seems to show a fairly small deviation at about the same point sort of adjacent Bay of Biscay- not sure if that was what you were referring to? |
