Where to post a request for real reason my flight is delayed?

Why not ask the airline?

We likely don't know the reason for the delay. My suggestion is to ask the airline.

What were the lies, how do you know they were lies? A simple search on Google shows that the return to STN is due to a late inbound aircraft. This could be due to weather or tech reasons.

Believe it’s YL-LCQ which did stn-zakynhos and back yesterday, then out to Dal but never came back!

LondonElite I believe it’s a tech or crew reason. Either of those is fine; I just want as much info as somebody here might be able to get, above and beyond what I can. I don’t want to publish the conversation I had here but trust me I was told something patently untrue. I’m just asking for some additional info as I’ve got everything I can from google.

For those who haven't memorized MT's schedule, this would be its 12:35 departure CFU-STN.
Looks to me as though MT made two aircraft substitutions in an effort to get the flight out, one at 02:01 and the next at 03:31 (both local CFU). It was at that point that what had been showing as a 20-minute delay was changed to the full on projected delay. This suggests the work of a carrier doing its best to locate a reserve aircraft and get it to a small outstation with a crew having the hours to legally work the flight back to STN. Often, when carriers are trying to locate reserve aircraft (and crew) to perform a flight, there will be significant changes in the operating parameters and what was accurate at one moment, may not be the next. What OP refers to as a "pack of lies" may well not be lies but simply changes. Until he posts what the "pack of lies" were, it is really hard to either have much sympathy or to provide more than passing advice. |
Yes, the whole unsubstantiated lies bit is not very helpful.

Dear All
One last post before I leave forever :-) 1) I did not misunderstand the purpose of the site. I asked my question because someone else had asked almost the same question and got a sensible answer (including details of the aircraft's movements) so thought, naively, the same might be possible for me. Not a problem if not. Did not expect the Spanish inquisition or to be accused of lying, or spoken about as 'he' as though I wasn't listening. 2) I understand things change, I know whoever I chatted with might have said one thing then had to try something else and there could be a convoluted problem-solving timeline. But that was not my experience - I WAS lied to. What I was told when chatting to the agent was simply NOT true. No matter, if you don't believe me that's fine, but please don't ever go on jury service. 3) I also know it is difficult to move aircraft/crew about - I'm not a complete half-wit. I believe most people do their best, most of the time. They do not want delays either. I just ask that people I deal with are honest with me. I don't get angry, I am usually pretty understanding about such things and I've intervened when people have treated Agents rudely - no need for it. 4) As it happens, the Captain of the flight told me what I wanted to know - there were 'several' (his word), u/s aircraft at Stansted and they had to fly another aircraft down from Manchester, with crew, to form the outbound MT1726 then the MT1727. So I have my answer. 5) I've asked to have my data deleted as, much as I've always enjoyed reading threads on here while not posting, I've managed to waste my 5 posts in 24 hours on trying to justify myself and I shouldn't have had to. So, I will bog off and leave you to it. 6) Why presume 'he'? Thank you to the couple of bits of useful info I was given, among the other comments. |
