Please help find JFK-MLE for 2 adults in J/F

I'm trying to location 2 adult award tickets to MLE from JFK in F preferably then J if need be. I need to be in MLE before or by morning of Feb 26 and depart MLE on March 3, 2018. I am having difficulty finding anything from EK, CX, KE. I can do 1 adult in eco and 1 in f or j if needed.
Can someone with more knowledge assist? Thank you.

5. SPG 43k
6. Marriott 33k
7. AMEX MR 150k
8. Chase 290k

What research have you done yourself on this trip to date?

Have you looked at which airlines and/or routes that will get you to MLE?
In F or/and J? Many airlines now do not have international long haul F
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velana...tional_Airport
route JFK-MLE

Close in and fixed dates make this hard.
Multiple ffp's with small - medium balances makes it harder
Consider these Award booking services - a list and some reviews

Have you looked at fares paid with money?

i looked at BA website, SQ, Alaska, etc for availabilities. I check every day to see if inventory opened up. I was thinking there might be more creative ways to find something that I havent tried yet. Ie. Using aeroplan for partner awards.

Have you looked sector by sector? Or just JFK-MLE? For just 1 seat?
BA & AS have many common partners.
SQ & Aeroplan are both Star Alliance.

Have you looked how far those ffp miles/points/avios will get you in J?
This link give a guide of ff miles needed. There are other sites that do the same
AwardAce: Compare Award Redemptions Across Airlines In Seconds --> Awardsace.com Has surcharge indication.

A good quest for one of those award booking services

Or searching out of BOS/IAD or from a different gateway (ie Europe or Middle East) then on to MLE with one award ticket one revenue.

Male is a popular holiday destination and thus award tickets tend to go quickly (up to a year in advance). Many European schools will have holidays around this time, so it does not really surprise me that four weeks out there are no seats. I suspect your best option will be to look for award seats on the carrier/segment that actually flies into MLE and work back from there.

LH usually opens up awards in F/J within a week or two of the flight departing - so that may be able to get you from JFK to MUC or FRA, from there you would have to still find the connection down to MLE, which could be difficult. This would also be cutting it even closer than current timing.

To make it easier, you can also look at doing a stopover somewhere on the way to/from to allow more flight options, or arriving a day early/departing a day late and spending a night in Male.

Best option at this point, if you are not finding anything, would be to use one of the booking services mentioned above.
