BE as Basic Economy not in FT Glossary
just an FYI - I didn't even know there was a glossary until today....BTW it's very helpful - I wish I found it when I first joined!!
Also D0, A14, ULCC (ultra LCC), GF (Global First), COCB (Carry Over Carry Back), TIV (Trip in Vain), FD (Fuel dumping), Instrument (GPU RPU etc) ......less relevant: D15, D120 aren't in and for fun: CCCPTBC Cross Country Comfort Premium Transcontinental Business Class (I would have just stuck with PS) |
Did you follow the suggestion at the bottom of the main glossary page?
"Send glossary additions or corrections to [email protected]. Please include word and definition." |

"Trip in vain" is generally used in its entirety, as opposed to "TIV". D15 and D120 may be too narrow in use, etc. "DO" or "D0" - the former is a FlyerTalk gathering, not used too much elsewhere, the latter is a term used to indicate an airline's on time departure gate Policy. And some terms are used improperly- I've seen "IRROPS" used commonly, for example, but the term used by the airlines is IROPS (or OSO) - the compromise has been to use a double listing, "IRROPS/IROPS". Anyway, the link to submit entries is on the Glossary front page, where it reads: Above is our growing glossary of terms used by frequent flyers and travelers alike. This list was inspired, in part, by a member of the FlyerTalk community who wrote to us about deciphering the comically absurd lingo of the frequent traveler. Please enjoy our listing of terms related to frequent flying and general travel. Whether you're new to the whole miles and points world, or a seasoned veteran looking to improve your travel vocabulary, we hope you find this list informative and fun.
