Using Miles to go from USA to Osaka
 

We would like to use Amex miles to go to Osaka and home fromTokyo. The only airline with our available dates is All Nippon airways (ANA). We do not have enough Chase miles to do this. Does anyone know how to get around this problem. We have called other airlines...still waiting to deal with Singapore, American and Delta. After that I need suggestions. We plan to go Business class (if airline has flat bed) or 1st. ANA wants 170,000 round trip--most others want 120 for business.

amex points can be transferred directly to ana...

As stated above US based Amex cards transfer direction to ANA and it's a good redemption for J class.

UR & MR points both transfer to SQ's Krisflyer program. That may help you if you don't have enough of either for a redemption.

Also look at getting to Tokyo or Seoul where a cheap and easy train ride or flight can get you to Osaka.
